Shane and Jack built a pair of mahogany night stands this week, part of a bedroom suite headed to a client on the East Coast next month. The client was inspired by a bedroom suite Shane built about 10 years ago for the Heath family in Houston, Texas.
Step 1: Buy the lumber.
Fast forward – we can’t show you everything! Needless to say, there was a lot of cutting, planing and routering between steps 1 and 2.
Mahogany Night Stand Step 2: Shane creates the parts for the mahogany night stands.
Step 3: Jack sands the parts of the mahogany night stands. The part he is sanding is actually for a coordinating chest of drawers.
Step 4: Assemble the parts into mahogany night stands.
Step 5: Add the doors to the mahogany night stands.
Step 6: Beautiful pair of mahogany night stands are ready to Stain.
Shane and Jack have several more pieces to build for this mahogany bedroom suite, including a custom tv console and a gorgeous arched panel bed with pedestal posts. Stay tuned for more photos!
